Uniform and Equipment

Information for Players and Families

Uniform

Westhills Baseball will issue jerseys and caps for all players. In Fall Season, each player gets one jersey and one cap. In Spring Season, each player gets one practice jersey, one game-day jersey, and one cap.

Players bring their own white or gray baseball pants, baseball cleats, socks, and cup (baseball pants and cleats are optional in Trotters and Foal Divisions).

Once your team is formed, the team may decide what color pants to wear, and or acquire matching socks, for uniformity.

Note that only Pony Division and higher may wear metal cleats.

Equipment

Each player must bring a batting helmet, fielder's glove, and a bat to practices and games.

If your glove is new, make sure to break it in before using it in games. Ask your manager for tips on how best to do this.

Only bats with the USA Baseball logo are allowed. For Pony Division and higher, BBCOR bats may also be used. Bats with the USSSA logo are not allowed.

If you're a new player and need help picking a bat of appropriate size, your team manager will be happy to make recommendations.

For catchers, a mask/helmet with throat protection, chest protector, and shin guards are required for games. If you don't already own a kit, your manager may have equipment your player can use during games.
